Providing fee based services employing the tenets of Modern Portfolio Theory, Lion’s Share U. S Financial Services key relationships have been maintained with those academic managers that do not offer their services through retail distribution. Those managers instead, choose to work directly with large institutional clients and pension funds. The core beliefs developed by those managers have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics seven times since 1990.
Considering Mr. Lund’s history, this was a natural progression. In 1984, he entered the industry with Mutual of Omaha in a sales management training position. In 1986, client request for sensible economical dental benefits compelled Mr. Lund to introduce the first pre-paid dental program in the state of Alabama. Service was provided to the University of Alabama employees, Huntsville city employees, and the largest General Motors distributor in the country.
In 1993, Mr. Lund founded SAC3 to reduce workers’ compensation cost through enhanced EDI. Outdated legacy systems lacked the ability to quickly move data accurately from one platform to the next. Utilizing local Huntsville computer scientists, old NFS formats were replaced and new streamlined ANSI X12 looping standards where published nationwide. By 1999, competing workers compensation platforms where rolled up, including E.D.S (wics), Fair Isaac, Celerity and Sterling Communications. Service was provided to companies, including such giants as WAL-MART, Dollar General, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Liberty Mutual, to name a few.
Fast forward to 2003; Lion’s Share U.S Financial tasked co-founder Vic Bradley, a research scientist to develop an Elite Advisor educational system. Bradley Enterprises became the first Alabama online educational pre-licensing platform. Today, the online platform provides state authorized insurance classes in all states, as well as securities classes.
Mr. Lund's experience gives him a unique view of the insurance and securities world. He has worked as a front line producer, manager and visionary to improve consumer benefits. He has witnessed the massive, 22.6% one day dip of the stock market in 1987, the above average market of the mid 1990's and the current secular bear market that began in 2000.
